Reflecting this week; ‘Can I decide to stop resisting what’s bothering me at the moment? Can I accept each event, each circumstance, without being consumed by the associated fear or desire?’

‘Stress only happens when you resist life’s events.’ The solution is quite obvious - stop resisting. Stop throwing your energy away and begin dealing with each situation with acceptance. Then events are not problems, they are just events. In most situations there’s nothing to deal with except for your own fears and desires: these make everything seem so complicated. Life’s gift is the flow of events that takes place between your birth and your death. Accept this exciting, challenging and joyous gift and make the most of the opportunities its brings’
