Join us for a series of four iRest Yoga Nidra classes, for some deep relaxation.
Yoga Nidra is a guided practice whereby the body becomes completely relaxed and can be referred to as ‘yogic sleep' - a state of consciousness between awake and asleep. It is said that 20 minutes of yoga nidra is the equivalent of 1 hour of deep sleep.
iRest (Integrative Restoration) is a practice developed by psychologist Richard Miller and includes guidance through a body scan, breath awareness, emotions and throughs and explores the contrast of opposite emotions and thoughts with an attitude of welcoming whatever we find. People who practice this yoga nidra find they can buid their capacity to differentiate and then integrate the varying sensations, emotions memories, feelings and beliefs that they may struggle with day to day.
