Join us for iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation, for some deep relaxation.
iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation is a guided practice whereby the body becomes completely relaxed. It is said that 20 minutes of yoga nidra is the equivalent of 1 hour of deep sleep. You can practice lying down, with cushions to support you to be comfortable, or sitting on a chair or floor.
iRest (Integrative Restoration) Yoga Nidra Meditation is a practice developed by psychologist Richard Miller and includes guidance through a body scan, breath awareness, emotions and throughs and explores the contrast of opposite emotions and thoughts with an attitude of welcoming whatever we find. People who practice this yoga nidra find they can buid their capacity to differentiate and then integrate the varying sensations, emotions memories, feelings and beliefs that they may struggle with day to day.
